The FC occurrence is located approximately 1.25 kilometres west of Motase Lake and is coincident with a magnetic anomaly (Property File - Canadian Superior Exploration Limited, Maps from Company Files, c. 1973).

The host rocks are interbedded tuffs and sediments of the Upper Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous Bowser Lake Group. These rocks are cut by diorite intrusions, probably related to the Late Cretaceous Bulkley Plutonic Suite, "calcareous" dikes and quartz veins. The quartz veins are reported to contain gold and silver.

The F.C. group of nineteen claims on the west side of Motase Lake was held by Huestis Mining Corporation Ltd., and during 1962 was under option to Noranda Corporation Ltd Exploration Company Limited. The main focus of work on the FC (or F.C.) claim group was the Huestis zone on the Mot 1 prospect.

In 2007, Electrum Resources conducted a program of prospecting or their Mot property (Mot South group) which covered the FC showing. Electrum reported that the rocks at the given MINFILE location of the FC showing do carry magnetite, which is consistent with the MINFILE description of a coincident magnetic anomaly. However, the rocks surrounding the nominal location are granodiorite intrusive and feldspar porphyry, thought to be related to the Eocene Kastberg Intrusions. Neither sedimentary host rocks nor calcareous dikes, as indicated in MINFILE description, were found.
